Good morning from Trujillo, Peru!
Thank you very much for praying for our housing need! God graciously allowed us to sign a contract last evening! Again, thank you for keeping us before the throne of grace.
We were not able to purchase a house as prices have increased so much in the last few years. Here in Trujillo, there is construction "everywhere". Construction materials are reasonable, but the price of land has skyrocketed. In our area a piece of property measuring 1500 sq. ft. (yes, that is the correct size!) runs around $40,000!
We will be renting a second and third floor apartment. The owners live on the first floor. Pictures will follow later, but we are happy with what God has provided. We will be five blocks away from church which will allow us to minister much more effectively, both to believers and unbelievers. Please pray that this will be the case. Pray that as we get to know our new neighbors that the Word of God will find fertile ground in soft hearts.
There are a few "downsides" to the apartment. There is no garage, no telephone/internet and no hot water! We will try to hurdle these obstacles as we move in, which by the way begins today!

Changing the subject a bit. Kandie and I enjoyed our 19th wedding anniversary yesterday! We signed a housing contract and looked at kitchen appliances! Oh, yeah, we also went out to eat, just the two of us! Have a great day!
